Get to know the materials we make use of

We use only quality materials such as concrete, oak, leather, linoleum, brass and steel. If treated well, they will only become more beautiful as they age.

Materials

Aluminium

We use two different colors

We use two different colors of lacquered aluminium; light aluminium and dark aluminium.

Brass

The brass we use is solid.

Depending on use and maintenance, brass can either become darker or lighter.

The brass will patina over time and get a more matte look, this can be polished back to its original state.

Concrete

Concrete has a special place in our hearts

We recommend that you leave the table in its original packaging at room temperature for 24 hours after receiving the table. This is to acclimate.

Concrete is a building material that contains natural elements, such as calcium, gravel and water. Even if you treat your table as recommended we cannot guarantee that it is 100% repellent to acid, coffee, red wine, fat etc. Your tabletop is pre-treated with a liquid and silicone-free wax from production.

If you want a raw and more variegated tabletop, we recommend using the table without further treatment. We think that concrete should be allowed to live its life and receive the “tooth of time”, like a leather chair or a piece of oak, which just gets more beautiful over time.

If you want a more well-protected top against everyday dirt, we recommend that you regularly treat the table.

Dark Concrete

The dark color comes from black iron oxide. Our dark concrete tops are thus stained. The color may be reminiscent of a deep grey anthracite, but black grey is the broadest and most striking color reference.

Dark Oak

We use an oil from Junckers to dye our oak dark/black. We dye the oak wood once. If you want a darker shade of oak we recommend to dye your table top again accordingly.

Follow Junckers recommendations here.

Light Concrete

Our light grey concrete tops are mixed with a little bit of white pigment, which makes the contrast between our dark and light table tops more pronounced. Our light grey concrete has a characteristic concrete expression, which is known from the construction industry, making this color our most raw and industrial choice.

Light Oak

We use “Nordic” oil by Junkers, which does not stain the wood, but rather gives it a natural, authentic appearance. The wood appears as untreated or soaped oak.

Oak

We use solid oak edge glued panels

When you receive a solid wood table from us, we recommend that you leave the furniture in its original packaging at room temperature for 3 days after receiving the furniture, so that it can acclimatise.

As standard, all our wooden parts are made of solid oak. Wood is a natural material that can be affected by changing humidity, direct sunlight and normal wear and tear. Our tables are basically treated with oil, but in connection with you taking your new table into use, we recommend that you finish the table with more oil. We do not sell the recommended oil, but it is widely available in the retail trade. We use oils from Junckers, which you can read more about in our materials guide.

Pine

With proper care, your table will age beautifully and last for many years.

Gaspard Tableau is treated with Satin Wood Oil. The oil penetrates the wood and forms a protective membrane that helps resist dirt and moisture. To preserve this membrane and keep dirt from settling into the wood grain:

Clean the surface with a soft cloth lightly dampened with water.

For grease or stubborn marks, use lukewarm water mixed with a mild, pH-neutral detergent (such as dish soap).

Avoid abrasive sponges, harsh chemicals, and excessive water, as they can damage the oil membrane.
