Eberhart was founded in Denmark in 2014 by Rune Vigil Nielsen and Esben Christoffersen with a shared vision, a bag of cement and an initial investment of just 5,000 DKK

Rooted in vision and craftsmanship

From the very start, Eberhart was about more than furniture. It was about creating a way of life where work, family and creativity could coexist in balance. The first pieces were produced in small, modest spaces - a basement workshop in Copenhagen and an old beet storage room on Esben’s family farm on South Funen.

As demand grew, so did the ambition.

Rather than moving production away, Eberhart chose to move deeper into its roots. The family-owned farm - passed down through seven generations - was transformed from traditional agriculture into a small-scale furniture production hub. Today, this is where every Eberhart piece is conceived, crafted, finished and carefully packed, surrounded by the calm landscapes of South Funen.

There is a quiet sense of circularity in this transformation - old buildings repurposed for new use, heritage carried forward rather than replaced - reflecting the values Eberhart stands for.

    As co-founder Rune Vigil Nielsen puts it: “If you buy a piece of furniture from us, it should last across generations. That means quality in every parameter - materials, construction and design. Simplicity is not about doing less, but about doing what lasts.”

    All Eberhart furniture is designed and produced in Denmark, made to order to ensure precision craftsmanship and minimal waste. By staying close to materials and production, quality is controlled at every stage - from first idea to final product.

  • We believe that the quality and durability of our products is obtained by knowing and respecting the materials we are using. With a broad network of skilled craftsmen and subcontractors, mainly from Denmark, we have enabled our foundation to produce high quality furniture.

    Our production originates on our family-owned farm located on South Funen, which we have converted from an actual farm to a small scale furniture production hub. From here we make our designs, run our main production, and ensure the quality of the furniture before it makes its journey to a new home.
