Dark Oak

Description

We use an oil from Junckers to dye our oak dark/black. We dye the oak wood once. If you want a darker shade of oak we recommend to dye your table top again accordingly.

Follow Junckers recommendations here.

Maintenance & care

When you receive a solid wood table from us, we recommend that you leave the furniture in its original packaging at room temperature for 3 days after receiving the furniture, so that it can acclimatise.

As standard, all our wooden parts are made of solid oak. Wood is a natural material that can be affected by changing humidity, direct sunlight and normal wear and tear. Our tables are basically treated with oil, but in connection with you taking your new table into use, we recommend that you finish the table with more oil. We do not sell the recommended oil, but it is widely available in the retail trade. We use oils from Junckers, which you can read more about in our materials guide.

Maintenance tips

- Use a damp cloth without detergent for daily care. Or use cleaning products specially designed for solid wood.

- Avoid exposing the wood to direct sunlight or heat from radiators or other heat sources, which in the worst case can cause the wood to split.

- Avoid placing hot or moist objects directly on the furniture or covering it with airtight material.

- We do not recommend partially covering the surfaces as this may cause color differences across the surface.

- In the event of nicks, splinters or stains, these can be removed by sanding and subsequent oil treatment of the furniture.

- If the wood “rises”, we recommend taking the back of a piece of sandpaper and running it lightly over the entire surface. Finish with the respective oil with which you bought the table. Contact info@eberhart-furniture.com if you are in doubt about which oil to use.

- We recommend oiling the furniture 4-6 times the first year and then at least twice a year, preferably before and after the winter season.
