Colored Pine (Tableau)

About the material

The colored pine is treated with Satin Wood Oil from Linolie & Pigment. The oil penetrates the wood and forms a protective membrane that helps resist dirt and moisture.

Pine is a natural solid wood material that is affected by humidity, temperature and light. Natural variations such as colour differences, knots and small cracks are part of the unique character of the wood and are not considered defects.

Solid wood may change slightly over time and can expand or contract with the seasons.

We recommend leaving the table in its original packaging at room temperature for 24 hours after delivery to let it acclimatize.

Daily Care

For everyday maintenance, wipe the table with a clean, slightly damp cloth.

If needed, use a mild dish soap solution.

A few times a year, you can refresh the surface with clear linseed oil in the colour “Natur”. To restore the original colour, use the matching tinted oil for your table colour instead of “Natur”. A tinted oil treatment will make the colour appear more saturated.

You'll need

- Clear linseed oil from Linolie & Pigment in the colour “Natur”

- Coarse application sponge

- Lint-free cloth

- Slightly damp cleaning cloth

Step-By-Step

- Wipe the surface with a damp cloth.

- Apply the “Natur” linseed oil and work it into the wood in circular movements.

- Let the oil absorb for 15–20 minutes.

- Wipe off any excess oil with a lint-free cloth, following the direction of the grain.

- Always follow the detailed instructions on the oil tin as well.

Important Note

* VERY IMPORTANT: Cloths containing linseed oil can self-ignite. Always soak used cloths in water and place them in a sealed plastic bag before disposal.

* Only oil the table when needed. Too many oil treatments can leave the surface slightly sticky, so always wipe off excess oil thoroughly.

* If the wood “rises”, we recommend taking the back of a piece of sandpaper and running it lightly over the entire surface. Finish with the respective oil with which you bought the table.

* Pine (and solid wood in general) is a natural material that is affected by humidity, temperature and light. Low humidity (approx. below 40%) can lead to cracks, while high humidity (approx. above 60%) can cause warping. Direct sunlight and placement close to heat sources such as radiators or air-conditioning units should be avoided, as this can dry out the wood and cause cracks. Placement in rooms with large temperature fluctuations should also be avoided.

* Pine (and solid wood in general) transforms slightly over time and can change dimensions depending on the seasons. For example, a solid oak table top can expand or contract by up to 2-3% of its width due to changes in humidity.

* Natural variations in the wood, such as color differences, knots and small cracks, are not considered defects, but part of the unique characteristics of the wood. Improper maintenance or placement in unfavorable environments can lead to damage that is not covered by the warranty.
