Concrete

Description

We recommend that you leave the table in its original packaging at room temperature for 24 hours after receiving the table. This is to acclimate.

Concrete is a building material that contains natural elements, such as calcium, gravel and water. Even if you treat your table as recommended we cannot guarantee that it is 100% repellent to acid, coffee, red wine, fat etc. Your tabletop is pre-treated with a liquid and silicone-free wax from production.

If you want a raw and more variegated tabletop, we recommend using the table without further treatment. We think that concrete should be allowed to live its life and receive the “tooth of time”, like a leather chair or a piece of oak, which just gets more beautiful over time.

If you want a more well-protected top against everyday dirt, we recommend that you regularly treat the table.

Maintenance & care

- Wipe with a clean, damp cloth. We recommend cleaning without detergent.

- We recommend that you regularly treat the table with the same liquid wax that we have given the table from its birth. The wax will give the table a fine sheen and ensure that the table patinas with grace.

- Avoid placing hot or moist objects directly on the table top.

- Avoid direct sunlight on the furniture the first 4 weeks.

If you’re unsure of the maintenance of your concrete table top, please send us an email: info@eberhart-furniture.com.

We will gladly run through any stain- or maintenance issues with you.

We recommend using liquid wax for ongoing maintenance. As an alternative to the liquid wax, we can also recommend this hard wax from the same supplier. The wax gives the tabletop a repellent and natural surface.

- Wipe the surface of the table with a damp cloth and let it dry.

- Apply the wax.

- Massage the wax into the table using a dry disposable cotton cloth. Do small areas at a time. Apply thin layers. A thick layer of wax can cause visible strokes.
